Why should we take lessons at Pitch Fever Music Academy?

-You'll notice right away upon entering, that great care has been taken to make learning music a great experience. We go beyond just giving 'lessons', we make learning fun, exciting, and fulfilling. We do this by employing instructors with a great enthusiasm for teaching, great people skills, and the knowledge to customize your lessons to both inform and inspire you. We also have a fully functional stage in which to jam with other musicians when you take one of our jam classes. Also, we don't sell anything so we're under no pressure to pressure you. We simply teach music and that's all we wish to do. We also have the ability to record your playing and send you home with a cd. This way you can actually hear your playing as it progresses.

What instruments do you teach?

-We specialize and teach guitar, bass and drums. We'll be adding more later to meet more students needs.

How much are lessons?

-Rates vary by instructor but most lessons are a flat rate of $88 per month. That breaks down to $22 per lesson. However, if there are 5 lesson days in a month, you get a free lesson.

How long are lessons?

-Lessons are typically 1/2 hour. Other durations can be arranged with the teacher.

How do make-up lessons work?

-We offer make-up lessons if the teacher has to miss a lesson for any reason. There are no make-up's if the student has to miss a lesson unless it is worked out between the teacher and student before-hand.

What about holidays?

-If Pitchfever is closed for a major holiday or because of a snow day, the student and teacher may request a make-up day during that month but typically there are no make-up's for holidays. The payment policy simplifies a lot of issues and usually evens out at the end of the year no matter what.

When are you open?

-We are open Monday-Thursday from 3-9pm, Friday from 2-8pm, and Saturday from 9am-3pm.

What else do you guys offer for students?

-We offer the Rock Band Experience and other Jam Band Classes. Students are able to play in a real band with both teachers and other students. The Rock Band Experience is a 4 week course and the Jam Band Class is scheduled one session at a time. We also offer Band Coaching and Music Production.

What kind of guitar should I get for a beginner?

-That all depends on your budget. Typically you don't want to spend too much at first. I highly recommend any kind of Stratocaster shaped guitar. You can find Squires for very little money. A little 15 watt amp is a good idea as well. After you know you're serious about music, you can of course splurge a bit. ;)

How long has Pitchfever been around and how did it come about?

-Pitchfever is relatively new. We opened during the summer of 07. However, the owner, Mike geronsin has been teaching for over 15 years at other establishments all the while dreaming of opening a school like Pitch Fever.

How much is the price of cottage cheese in Australia?

-3.25 plus tax
